I've been looking for a Mini Cooper - 'N' reg or later - locally (south-
east Lincs, UK) for a couple of months, and haven't seen a single one
for sale.
Get some mags. Mini World and Mini Magazine have tons of adverts for cars
all over the country. ;-)

Given that it looks like I'm going to have to travel a fair distance to
find one, I think I'd prefer to go to a dealer, and get some sort of
warranty.

I've found P&L Minis, which is about 65 miles from here. Also the London
Mini Centre, but that's a bit far if problems occur, and their prices
seem a bit high.

Has anyone got any other suggestions? Also, I'd be interested to hear
any comments about P&L.

Buy privately. No disrespect intended to the likes of P&L, but you will get
more car for your money privately. Just watch for rust..... everywhere! 90's
Mini's are far worse for rust than earlier cars unless they have been well
rust proofed by previous owners.

Steve's right there and rust proofing shouldn't cost much, says he whose had
new inner/outer sills, rear subframe, front wings and A panels replaced on
the beloved family pet, oh well we live and learn?

Anyway there's a nice late Cooper for sale at Mini Stables. Their
advertising in the magz right now.
