Should a mini clubman, not an estate, 1100 1980 have dry or hydro
suspension? Also what type of front brakes are standard?

A 1980 Clubman 1100 should be dry suspension.
I've had a 1979 Clubman 1100 and a 1980 1275GT, all dry suspension.

I think all the mid to late 70's Mini's onwards were dry

In terms of brakes, I think the 1980 Clubman 1100 will be drums all
round. Back then only the 1275GT had discs on the front.
