tachometer(RPM) for mini

i want a tachometer fitted to measure the RPM's. Other than the tachometer
itself what else do i need??
From wat i hear it's called a speeder cable is this right?!?!?!
And also information on how to install it.

get yer locale auto electrician to fit it
