Is there anywhere in particular you can go for used mini parts?
Scrapyard-type-stuff, for example?

I have been looking for a scrapyard here in Liverpool, but for some unknown
reason, there is none in the yellow pages (is it perhaps called something
other than a scrapyard in britenglish?), but no luck so far.

I need lots of small bits for my mini: New mirrors, new wheelarch-plastic
bits etc. I could have stripped a MOT-failed mini for all the parts, but I
wouldn't know where to find one, and - even worse - even if I would manage
to buy an MOT-failed mini, I would have no way to move it to a suitable
place for stripping it. (i only have my mini, and with the already present
engine troubles, I don't think it would be too keen on towing another mini -
especially considering it's an automatic)

You might wanna try Ellisons on Pigue Lane in Wavertree, they usually have a
Mini. Couldn't you find a parts Mini in the Loot?

I dunno what the situation is there any more. Not since I left Old Swan 4
years ago.

You can take the Scouser out of Liverpool, etc...
