Default What does it do? - 07-27-2003 , 05:21 PM

Just bought a Mini Mayfair 1991 and am wondering if anyone can tell me what
the choke like cable next to the light switch is supposed to do. I have
followed the cable to a valve on a water pipe but what is it for.

Thanks

Adrian Ford

It's the heater dial. Mine doesn't work.

I didn't top post. I replied to the message as it was in my listing. I am
the second message in the thread as far as I can see. Perhaps you should
get a real news server?

Firstly... i would rather post at the top... i hate this arguement.

If indeed you are fiddling with the heater control... the choke is the one
the other side.

Wahey, well done Daniel. Got back to the point of this post and this group.
The heater control cable operates the valve in the hose. On a car of this
age, pulling the cable out shuts off the hot water to the heater.
