Default 1998 Mondeo cruise control - 05-02-2007 , 04:50 AM

I have a 1998 Mondeo, the cruise control did work and now it doesn't. The
indicator lamp does not illuminate to show its switched on.
Any idea where to start looking, thanks.

You could start by checking fuses F22 & F23 under the glove box. The
Haynes BOL shows these fuses affect the system. F22 is ABS and F23 is
reversing light.

Make sure your brake lights are not stuck on as the brake light switch
will cut out the cruise control.

thanks for that,
have checked the fuses, ok. The ABS indicator lamp does what it is supposed
to do. All the lights are ok.
I am finding the haynes manual circuit diagrams a nightmare, being used to
real electronic diagrams.

If manual, check the clutch switch, too. I'd guess it is down near the pedal.

If auto, there'll be switches in the selector.
