Good point. Now extend that thinking to the E220 and particularly to the
E320. Indeed extend it to every single vehicle bearing the Exxx badge.
They
are without a shadow of doubt all utterly vile. Yes I had one, an E320,

another Jaguar afterwards.

Surely a rebadged Mondeo handed out to ex salesmen who have moved up a rung

Noooo - not the Mondaeo (well, I'm 6'2" and I never ever found it a
comfy car!)

Best I've encountered is the S40 (or S60) and BMW 3 series - all
pretty good.

As far as little cars go - I've actually got a Suzuki Swift and that's
remarkably roomy!

Spooks

I drove a 3 series a couple of years ago and found it uncomfortable
after an hour and a half or so. But then I'm 6'6" with 35" inside leg...
Still driving an L plate Cav and never feel cramped, unlike any
unfortunate who has to sit behind me.

Do you get called "stumpy"? I've got a 34 inside leg and I'm just 6ft.

Any suggestions?.
Have a look at cars that that are a little taller and slightly more
boxy in their design. This seems to buy a lot more leg and headroom
than simply making them longer, unless you really like driving in a
semi-recumbent position.

Skoda Superb

I'm 6'5" and can fit as a passenger behing myself as the driver without
touching the driver seat with my knees. Very impressive.

Guess it's a case of each to their own!

I've never felt as uncomfortable in any car as I do in a ford - they
always end up with me in agony!

Do concur with the person behind thing - why does the tallest
passenger always try and squeeze in behind you?

BTW - I definately am stumpy - was "persuaded" by someone a few years
ago to measure my legs (around the time that the sun was looking for
the longest female legs in Britain" - 38" inside leg (makes finding
trews a nightmare!) hip to toe = 56"

Used to also find the Freelander quite comfy - I think because of the
height thing...

Indeed. My mind is boggling, in fact. Has there been a 6th day violation?

I'm 6'2 with long legs and I never have the problem of cars being too
small - apart from Alfa 75s, Primera Mk1s, Peugeot 106 / Saxos and any
Renault Clio.

I'd rather walk than drive a BMW 3 series on a regular basis though.

Ok, I admit it, I like Renault 5s.

I'm 6'2", as well.
The Mk1 Mondeo I had as a rental back in the day wore the thighs of my suit
shiny in a week because the (adjustable) wheel rubbed on 'em.
I had no prob with the 75 I owned.
The biggest prob I've got with Paxos/106s is footwell space for my size 10s
- it's a bit "press a pedal, any pedal.
I dunno when I last drove ANY car that didn't need the seat fully back, and
I'd often prefer a bit more elbow room.

Undecided of York here about the 3 series. I like them, yeah even the four
cylinder models. I don't like the image.
