Going to Spain in a few weeks. Hiring a car. There's 5 of us. Just
wondered of the two which is bigger.

Cheers.

Cheers for that. The 'pure statistics' I read seemed to suggest it
too.

Dunno about the Scenic, but the C-Max would be pretty useless at
carrying 5 plus luggage.

Ditto for the Scenic. Very little luggage space. I had 4 in one for skiing -
couldn't see out the back window and people still had to nurse ski boots on
their lap! Go for an estate, even a focus estate would be better than a
scenic. Alternatively, if its all adults, two small cars may be cheaper and
offer more flexibility.

Agreed, I got a 6ft long by 3ft wide by 2ft high [1] toolbox in the back of
one with room to spare and little chrome hooks to strap it down to. I've
also shifted a two seater couch with one, and could shut the tailgate both
times.

Ok, I admit it, I like Renault 5s.

happily, sounding much like they were saying :

I once shifted a three-seat Sofa with a Citroen Dyane - with the tailgate
shut.

To be fair, it was sticking out of the roof, vertically...

Ha.

9' tall apple tree in a Nova.

On the passenger seat with belt round it, up through the sunroof, just to
get it round the corner.

Late at night on very quiet roads...

Very little difference in it. The scenic might have the slight edge...
....but is 100 times more likely to pack up.

Try the Grand Scenic.
