Default Breakdown Organisations and Legal Cover - 03-23-2006 , 07:20 AM

Years ago the AA used to send a solicitor to defend their members in
Magistrate Court hearings, but no longer. Do any of these firms offer
any legal advice now? The AA discontinued their legal advice service.
The RAC represent you if the defendant "has a good chance", but I'm
wondering if any other firms do?
Does anyone know of a breakdown outfit that offers this as an extra
please?

I am referring to legal advice on traffic matters plus "driver
defence", not ambulance chasers who pursue your own claim, there's
hundreds of those.

defenceless

Is it not normally an add-on to the insurance these days, 'Motor Legal
Protection' or somesuch?

I thought it worked like your house insurance legal cover.. i.e. if a
neighbour puts up a fence where they shouldn't then your house insurance
would pay the legal costs to have it removed...

Maybe a quick call to your insurer to ask?
