Can't recall who I'm afraid, but found him via the internet. It was excellent - basically, he simply offered a price on the car which we accepted - it was way, way lower than anything we could get conventionally from a dealer. He then put us in touch with a franchised Vauxhall dealership about 100 miles away, and the vehicle was ordered through them in exactly the normal way. We paid a deposit direct to the dealership, with the balance on collection; and fees or commission earned by the broker came direct from the dealer I presume - we paid him not one penny. The only disadvantage was having to travel to the dealer to collect the car, otherwise the transcation was just the same as if we'd done it at my local dealership (just several K cheaper!). A win-win basically. |

SWMBO likes the Citroen C2 (yeh, yeh), and is seriously thinking about buying one, but the prices Citroen dealers are asking seems high to me, even with the discounts. I told her it would be cheaper to buy from a broker but then got stumped by "what broker ?", not having gone that route before. has anyone used a broker (who) and what were your experiences ? |
