If the head lamp is on, turn the ignition key off and take the key from the key hole, engine does not stop running!! Any solution ? |

From the way you phrase it, I guess it doesn't run on if the lights are off? In which case it's a wiring fault, probably under the dashboard. If it happens anyway, then is it a diesel or petrol? As for the immediate practicality of stopping the engine, then while you are stopped, dip the clutch, put it in top gear (prob. 5th?), stand on the brake pedal and let the clutch up sharply. That will stall it and force the engine to stop. |

Then the engine management system remains energised and the coil pack will burn out in short order. ....which probaly hasn't happened since contact breakers wen out of fashion |
