The only real problem with the car was poor underbody rust protection, the
car itself was well engineered, apart from the tail gate.

Engine, 1600 push rod but was very over square, and breathed pretty well (8
port head). Covered miles well. Electronic ignition

Aluminium gear box so light. Excellent gear change.

Very good seats, but rubbish tail gate

Handling was good, suspension was basic but worked well, struts at front, 4
link coil sprung live axle at back.

However the rust protection was bad, hence both cills, both wheel arches,
both wings repaired, plus repairs to inner cills, and door top insides
