I've just had another fuelling issue with my modified tin foil car.
Basically it will idle, but when the throttle is slightly depressed,
the engine dies.
Take foot off quick and idle recovers.
Boot straight to more than 3/4 throttle and it revs straight up (2nd choke
in operation).
Twice before i have pulled the carb, removed the jets and did an upside down
flush out with spray carb cleaner.
Both times bits of black and yellow stuff came out.
Is the black from the rubber fuel hoses ... the yellow from the fuel
filter??
Ever since i got the car i have fitted fuel filters yearly as i know the
solex
carbs are prone to messing around.
Do the carbs corrode on these french cars??
