Compared to other large cars of the late '80s does the
old bmw 7 series handle well.
What "like" size cars does it compare to (or even better)
nowadays??

The model i speak of is the E32 1988 on.

Get an E34 (5 series) instead.

Dunno about the E32 but I have an E38 , which handles superbly.
You can chuck it through the twistys like a sportscar or waft down the
motorway
like a limo.
Probably due to the traction control and automatic stability control - and
the adaptive
transmission is superb as well.
Not much difference in price now between a late E32 or an early E38.
