What the hell can go wrong with brake drum *backing* plates...?

It's a Fiat, I'll give you one guess.

Electrics?
No, I said Fiat, not Citroen :-P

Although Cinq's are cheap to buy, are they maybe not so cheap to run, with
ongoing repairs etc (I know you've had one). And does it have to be yellow
! The Imola Blue ones are also nice, but I don't like that orange bumper
insert. Do all the IB ones have that ?

Ours was dirt cheap to run. Bought it at a year old with 15k miles on
it, sold it at 5-ish years old with 75k miles on it.
Yes, but I'd be buying it at 10+ years old, so the scenario would be
different !

Lots of sheds out there. Really nice ones are holding value - yellow
fades, as does red. Black looks the bollocks, IMHO - but I'm biased,
'cos mine was black ( http://www.italiancar.co.uk/cinq/Images/8.jpg ).
Mmm ! I don't usually like black cars (especially metallics), but that
looks nice.

Friend of mine had one of the first Punto 55's with the Cinq Sp'g engine
and gearbox, and I was always impressed with how urgent it felt. His next
car was a Bravo HLX, then an AR 156 2.0. Are you sure you weren't his
teacher :-) Lol!

Rust ! Thought that was years ago though !

TO be fair, there isn't much to go wrong with a Cinq.

So long as everything works when you buy it, it's not likely to go bang
in an expensive way later. There are quite a few low-ish mileage
examples out there as they were often bought by middle aged women.

Nooooooo! Everyone has one, they're not as good as some people say they
are.
But much better than you think they are ;-)

Looking at the headers, mine are down as GMT (which isn't correct - nor is
it the timezone my computer's set at - it's set to follow summer time, and
corrected itself a few weeks ago accurately) - yours is showing as 21:25
BST, whilst SteveH's is showing correctly - and showing as timezone +0100 -
which is correct...

<shrug>

Anybody else having a problem with either my timestamp or Paul S's?

I saw one advertised in Grafitti Grey a few weeks ago, but couldn't find
any reference to that colour anywhere e.g. on The FIAT Forum. Have you
heard of it ?

I had a 33 for a month, which I bought for a friend, and drove until he
was ready to take it. Does that count ?

I know the colour you mean, but that's not the right name for it.

Can't recall what it's called, though.

Looks quite good, actually and probably the least common of the Cinq.
colours.

I suppose so..... I'm a particular fan of 33s, we had 2, a 1.7 8v and
the 1.7 16v Cloverleaf which was an absolute stormer of a proper old
school hot hatch. IMHO, of course, PeteM hates them...... but he likes
the Focus.

Great cars, IMHO. I'd have one.
Won't most of these have been thrashed by now ?
