TO be fair, there isn't much to go wrong with a Cinq.

So long as everything works when you buy it, it's not likely to go bang
in an expensive way later. There are quite a few low-ish mileage
examples out there as they were often bought by middle aged women.

What else is there that, like the Cinq, doesn't have power steering, but
would be fun to drive (not necessarily fast). Problem is good Cinq's seem
to be hard to find (privately at least).
Erm, how hard have you looked?

6 on ebay, some looking seriously cheap - check out the yellow one with
buy it now of £575, for a start. Shame about the seat wear, but that's
no biggie IMHO. I would check that it hadn't been clocked, though. (I'm
ignoring the 'replica' and the modded one, 'cos it looks shite).

Also, a check on Autotrader reveals 29. (Huge URL coming)

Well, I was looking within 30mls TBH, on Autotrader and Loot.

Rust ! Thought that was years ago though !
on the bodywork, yes. But not on some of bits bolted to it. Sounds
like I wasn't the only one with the latest in light-weight, perforated
brake backing plates. Rest of the car was in good shape at 8
years/120,000 miles though, well shortly before it was an economic
write-off after a rear-end shunt. I'd have another one though, possibly
in Imola Blue (mine was a Broom Yellow one) if I came across a good one.
And if I had room on my driveway....

I'd definitely have another if I had the space. SWMBO tells me that 3
cars and 2 bikes is more than enough.

If it's a car you really want, you'll have to be prepared to go more
than 30 miles.

When we bought our 156, we travelled from South Wales to North London
for it.

I saw one advertised in Grafitti Grey a few weeks ago, but couldn't find
any reference to that colour anywhere e.g. on The FIAT Forum. Have you
heard of it ?
either Trend Grey (on the earlier ones) or Steel Grey (on the 97/98
ones, same era as the Imola Blue ones). From memory, Steel Grey is a
darker shade and Trend Grey is more silvery.

Paul S (anybody (AT) anyone (DOT) plus.com) gurgled happily, sounding much like
they were saying :

Test drove one a couple of months

Tried the 1.8, or a TDCi?

No, I've not tried the 1.8 Chris. I've heard the TDCi is a very good drive.
