Default Driving ban - 10-08-2006 , 11:59 AM

A year ago I was sentenced to a three year ban for drink driving. Is it
true that after a certain time I can apply to have my ban reduced?

yes you can apply to the courts that sentenced you.
but if you pleaded guilty to the offence then i dobt you will get it reduced as i believe there is a minimum time the sentence can last for.

you really need to ask about this on one of the solicitors newsgroups.

Honest answer. I like that. Stop bloody drinking when you've got the motor
though.

"end user" v. A command regrettably not implemented in most systems.

Right.

So - you're a fuckwit with no sense whatsoever, a drink problem, and the
brains of a cretinous earthworm. You can't take a hint to save your life.

Please don't try and shorten the ban. Our roads are better off without you.

Now, please, fuck off. Cheers.

I am in exactly the same position as you - 2nd ban within 10years -
was given a 3yr ban in October 2004. Being as I have now covered
2years of the ban I can now appeal - and have een discussing this with
my solicitor in the last week. We have to put a case together
explaining why I want/NEED my license back and ask for a court date. I
believe (and I'm 99.9% certain) that you have to serve at least 2years
of the ban thou'.

Perhaps you could have thought of that earlier?

I'd say it is likely to be *raised* on appeal.

You were stupid. Twice.

Live with it.
