Personally I think all the TV motoring progs are concentrating far too
much
on fast 'exotic' machinery. I love cars and driving but have never had the
slightest interest in 'sports' cars which (IMO!) are impracticable,
uncomfortable, anti-social, and encourage unsafe motoring. Most people I
speak to want to see far more coverage of the sort of cars they can afford
to actually buy and own!
I think exotics encourage safe driving - repairs will be thousands for a
minor bump or scrape, and you'll get pulled for speed+1 by any copper who
sees you. Plus your TED for overtakes is very very good....

I thought it was back to front! Dino at the top for me :-) Then 355, then
360 probably.
The 355 only really stands out as the first reliable ferrari. 360 is more
beautiful. No 456 I notice, probably the maddest four seater ever....

No 355, no 250 Testarossa, no 166, no F50, no Maranello, no 512 Boxer and
lumping the 308 & 328 together was daft......aboutthe only "right" thing
about it was that there wan't a 348 in sight!

The testarossa won because people know its name....

I.

Well thank god they've moved away from that. You want to watch Driven,
that's what you want. They'll tell you how many suitcases fit in the back
of a Mondeo and how easy (or otherwise) it is to reverse park. Phew, what
a rush! Luckily Top Gear came back with the new format, someone having
realised that there's a lot to be said for simply having a laugh, and Fifth
Gear have just started copying them instead of copying Driven. I like
watching TV for entertainment although, with Eastenders being the most
popular program, realise I might be in the minority.

I'd certainly be swapping the first and last! Testarossa UGLY UGLY UGLY.
If Jo Brand had that arse she'd be down the gym like a shot.

nope, makes good aerodynamic sense, low drag, efficient design, still makes
downforce!

Not ugly, but brutal. Beautifull ina bull mastiff kind of way. The wide arse
end lets everyone know that the engine under there is huge, even when it's
not running!

Seconded! Jeremy Clarkson cited leaving Top Gear (first time round) for
the reason of simply running out of things to say about cars that were
perfectly adequate and not likely to fall into rusty squares 15 minutes
after leaving the showroom. If you're only interested in the amount of
luggage that'll fit or whether you'll get endless kids into the back,
then just pick a car brand and see what they offer.
