Default Fifth gear tonight. - 04-19-2004 , 07:57 PM

Tiff driving a vauxhall ... rear tyre blown out with explosives.
Next shot tiff yanking the wheel 1/2 turn to the right.
Next shot car doing a wild spin.

Next ... "oh...thats what happens when a tyre blows out".

Duh!!! I knew i was doing something wrong .... next time i'll yank my
steering
to get a similar spin effect straight after my rear tyre goes bang.

For every two hours a garage mechanic works, you get billed for four,
even though the job should have taken eight to do properly.
...... But you get to think your cars going to be reliable because its
got a FULL SERVICE HISTORY!!!

Would have been more useful to show the effects of a front and rear
blowout on RWD and FWD cars in a straight line, rather than during
tight high-speed turns. Probably not as interesting to watch?

The in-car camera of the police car blowout is definitely
entertaining. Wonder what the skid-marks looked like!

We could ask the local dry cleaners, I suppose.

I was actually really supprised by this one. They seem to have
reallised that a 0-60 time isn't everything. They actually said that
the Diesel Scoda was faster than the Mini, even though the 0-60 time
was quicker. They even mentioned 'torque'!

I was quite supprising though, the one with a quicker 0-60 actually
had better acceleration on the track. It was hard to tell what speed
they were doing, but I would've expected the Skoada to be slower at
track speeds, but faster for 'normal' driving.

Was that the one from a 'Police, Camera, Action' programme a few years ago,
where a Traffic Patrol car travelling at about 90 mph had a sudden rear tyre
deflation ?

Best regard all,
Dave - alias TripleS.

Sounds about right, although on this one the speed reading was 116mph at
one point.
