Im not talking rebuilds but significant engine work[1], what is a length of time where it is reasonable to consider that just about any job should have been done by now. And at what point is it acceptable to pull a freaky? Is upsetting the mechanic a bit like telling the serving guy at Mc D's you weren't happy last time, is it best to keep them sweet so they don't do the mechanic equivalent of spitting in your burger? [1] Car burning oil due to valve probs, gave up trying to fix it and is replacing head, its into 6 weeks now. i would have thought 1 week should be enough, go talk to the service manager |
