Default good small car??? - 02-01-2005 , 03:14 PM

need a good small car, 1 litre will be fine as long as its nippy and good
mpg too!!!
Not got any brand loyalty. Corsas seem to breed in our area - are they o.k.
Are saxos or 106, rover 25 or why any better? Are small newish cars all
about the same?

Unless you derive enjoyment, probably.

The Saxo and 106 is best as a hot hatch. Cooking models are, erm, heh,
well, dull.

The Rover 25 is okay.

Ka kicks both into touch though.

You might have a look at Micras - if you can get a good one they can be good
value, but beware on a test drive - get the thing nice and hot, and see if
it idles smoothly - if it does not, and it stalls when hot, it can be a £500
bill for a throttle body - good bargaining point!

Ka,
Polo,
Clio,
106,
Saxo,
Rover 25,
walking,
being mortally wounded,
public transport
ripping genitals off with rusty saw blades,
scooter,
Corsa.

In that order.

Please don't top post.

The Ka is the best car of that size, followed by a Polo (1.2 upwards)

Don't buy a Corsa. They're crap. Honestly.

Just goes to show, an engine does not by itself maketh the car. No, I tell
you now, robots in factories do that.

Yeah, they're the most fun to drive, and probably the most reliable.

Also the most likely to rust, but hey ho.
