Default Insurance recommendation - NIG - 02-20-2004 , 03:58 AM

Hi folks - a non-whinge, non-questionfor a change!

Having been a student for more years than my bank manager would care to
remember (but call me Dr Jon now) I am rather adept at getting the cheapest
possible insurance. Having left academia 18 months ago I found that suddenly
I could afford fully comp and sensible excesses (if you see what I mean). I
am insured with NIG through Adrian Flux.

I had my car broken into the night before last - two windows broken, minor
bodywork damage and Alpine stereo & changer gone. Discovered at 7:45am.

By 9:30 I'd arranged a time and date to have the replacement Alpine(s)
fitted (at my workplace).
By 11:00 Autoglass told me that they couldn't get hold of a rear
quarterlight until Saturday, but they fit it at my home.
By 5:30 I'd had the estimate done for the ins co.

Aside from the rather cold drive to work, this was amazingly painless - I
recommend NIG. Having dealt with others over the years and found some of the
big boys who just can't maintain their records (even sent me the wrong claim
information - i.e. for someone else, complete with full contact details), I
was impressed.

Jon

Thanks for the post. Just goes to show that theres more to insurance
than getting the absolute cheapest quote.
