Time between cambelt change - MX6

Looking throgh the history it (MX6 2.5) has had a cambelt 20k miles ago.
But it was 4.5 years, how long max should a belt be left on these before a
change?

I don't know what the specs. are, but the longest interval I've seen
quoted for belts has been 5 years.

I'd be looking at doing it ASAP.

Autodata only give a 50k interval, no time limit. some belts are now
recommended at 8 and ten year intervals, so I would ignore it till at least
50k or another three years

Nope, Mr Ford decreed 8 years/80k for pre-2000 Zetecs, 10 years/100k for
post-2000.
