SteveH (steve (AT) italiancar (DOT) co.uk) gurgled happily, sounding much like they
were saying :

And I read BMW are thinking of buying Volvo and or Alfa.

Nooooooooooo!

I was reading something on that earlier - they *considered* buying Alfa,
and abandoned the idea, before they *considered* buying Volvo, and
abandoned THAT idea, too...

http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsAr...llCars/225528/

breathes huge sigh of relief
One minute he's moaning about how Alfas are now FWD, next minute...

Alfa are working on their own RWD chassis at the moment, for the 166
replacement.

It's not like BMW can offer any build quality and reliability
improvements these days ;-)

Yup, several 2005 Hemis for sale from £15,000 to £20,000. And in fact
a couple of low mileage 2006 diseasels for sale for less than 20K.

Weird. A national search of every 300C only for me only brings up a
couple of Dodge Magnums and LHD imports under 20k.

I'm with you on this one, Grant - just seeing one 05/55 RHD v6 petrol for a
fiver under £20k - and a bunch of cack-hander v8s.
There's a RHD Hemi for £22k on there

Hmm, it seems there are a load of Monaro's for about £16k, if you want a
RHD V8

Nah, my 300C fetish is 95% down to the looks - the square set,
fuck-off-and-don't-mess-with-me presence. I love the idea of a black on
black one with 20" alloys.

I normally have quite good taste - honest.
