Exelent time to buy as people are taking silly cheap money and as the econemy starts to recover there won't be a lot of 2nd hand cars in the same age bracket so residuals shoukd be comparitivly high. |

Not to worry though - for january is bound to be much worse . Blame the Government for introducing a road taxing scheme/scam to hit people |
They didn't realise it would almost put Vauxhall motors out of business.
The only car
there is a demand for now is the Astra1.7CDTi 100BHP as it qualifies for low
tax. They
can't shift any other car and production was standing still a month ago and
it still is.
They have fields full of cars no one will buy because of high tax and poor
economy.
Only Toyota have money in the bank. Vauxhall were too slow to react to the
demand.
The new Astra is going to be a flop unless GM/Vauxhall produce some new
engines.
If you haven't seen the new Astra yet, there is only ONE in Germany
completely built.
It looks terrible. It has the front end of a Meriva and back end from a
corsa. There are
two triangular windows at front and back and the side mirrors are like the
Meriva position.
The car is slightly lower and fatter. The bonnet has three lines down it,
or raised bits!
Twin exhausts at the back look OK but the bumpers wrap around which looks
odd.
Just think of a squashed Meriva, but remember the small triangular windows
at the back.
I personally do NOT like the new design as not much thought has gone in to
it.
Visibility is rubbish and the back window is smaller than on the Astra H.
It is not going to sell as it is heavier and the current engines are from
the Astra H, so
slower than the Astra G engines and more expensive to tax due to high CO2
emissions.
