Never mind him, he's impotent and his missus sleeps around so he vents his

hahahaha ! I see! I guess that *would* make one a bit narky!

Oh there's a good reason, you're a knobhead.

Yet you bleat when it happens to you. If you can't take it, don't try
dishing it out - it's only going to look a bit sad.

There's a difference between common insult, you knobhead, and libel. I
also fail to see why my wife is being libelled when she has fuck all
to do with this.
'cause she's shagging someone else?

And your reasoning for this is? Whatever have I done to upset you? Do
I know you from somewhere or something?

Yeah, one's acceptable to you, so you're happy to bandy it about, but
the other isn't acceptable to you, so you get upset when it happens to
you.

If you hadn't decided to call me names, then your wife would not have
been "libelled". There's your "why". I trust you will learn from it?

You clearly bear some sort of a grudge.... but what is it?

I'm not angry.
Bitter would probably be a better word. It's clear you bear some sort
of grudge against me for some reason, but what is it? Why are you so
upset as to wander into a thread and start calling me names? How bad
can it be, can't you let it go?

Quote:

Er... such as? And when? You're really doing *everything* you can to
avoid reminding us of the incident you're upset with me about!!!

Quote:
Are you not aware that you brought this on yourself? No-one would have

entirely random and childish name-calling at me.

Ah yes, if I were to insult you in a pub it would of course be
reasonable for you to glass my wife
If you choose to wander up to someone in a pub and insult them, then
you cannot *expect* that the retaliation will be one which suits
*you*. There is usually escalation. I didn't ask for your insult, but
you raised the bar by deciding to. The bar was further raised by the
returned insult, and the bar would be raised further still if you
chose to follow up your accusations of libel.

Oh, and has your wife been physically injured in this incident? So
your analogy isn't exactly fair.

Do you not appreciate that had you not called me names, no-one would
have insulted your wife? Use this as a learning experience.

yawn

You will find that Usenet is not a place to have as poor a memory as you
pretend to have.
Why don't you remind me as to why you are so angry with me? *Surely*
you know yourself? When/where have I upset you so much? Why do you
avoid this question so much?

Quote:

I'm not upset, I'm not angry, I'm not bitter. Care to try again,
knobhead?
hahahahah! Your attitude betrays you!!!

Since you deny all the other suggestions, tell us what *emotion* has
driven you to call me names without any provocation whatsoever?

Oh, and has your wife been physically injured in this incident? So

The fact that you're unable to draw a conclusion from an analogy doesn't
surprise me. OK, since you want it that way, I insult you in a pub, a
pissed mate of yours then goes up to my wife and screams into her face
that she sleeps around, then he publishes that statement in the letters
page of the local newspaper.
Yes, that's escalation. Haven't you realised yet that if you didn't
insult me in the pub in the first place, none of the following
incidents would happen? Take some responsibility for your actions and
stop whining just because things escalated beyond what *you* believe
to be acceptable.

If you insult a stranger in a pub, for no apparent reason, then
there's a fair chance you'll receive some degree of physical reaction,
of only to shove you away. If you don't believe me, then try it a few
times - I look forward to hearing how you get on!!

I notice that both in real-life and in your analogy, you never offer
*any* reason for your motivation to insult me, a stranger. Why the
desire Steve, what's your problem?

Quote:

No one insulted my wife, they libelled her. There's a difference between
insult and libel.
A comment can be both insulting and libellous. Or are you suggesting
that your wife would not find the suggestion that she is sleeping
around insulting?!!!

Indeed not, primary school would require rather more intelligence and
application than you have demonstrated to date.
Hahahaha! And calling me "knobhead", is *really* showing
intelligence!!

Quote:

Then why pretend that you have?
Here we go... random, unexplained accusations, the mainstay of the
Usenet argument. Tell us Steve, in what manner have I "pretend[ed]"
that I have control over what anyone chooses to reply to you?

That would be a matter between me and the libellers.
Why? Surely I would be called as the primary witness? I look forward
to giving evidence in your case. Can you tell me when this might be?

Your analogy also makes me laugh because it's *so* biased!! In the
actual incident, all comments were made in the same forum, yet in your
analogy, the comment against your wife somehow turns up in the local
newspaper, yet your original insult does not!!! You can't have it both
ways! And how come my "mate" (although in the real incident it was
actually just a third party observer), is "pissed", yet you are not?
And how come his comment was "scream[ed] into her face", yet yours was
not?!!

Nice colouring!!

Just learn to phrase things a litte more "ambiguously" ie;

Replace
"Never mind him, he's impotent and his missus sleeps around so he vents
his
frustration on the ng now and then"

With
"Never mind him, he seems to me like an impotent twat, who's wife sleeps
around. I can't think of any other reasons for him to vent his spleen in
this NG"
Or:

"Never mind him, he's allegedly impotent and his missus sleeps around,
allegedly, so he vents his frustration on the ng now and then... allegedly"

;-)
