stands for Paint Defect Inspection. Am I
correct or does it stand for something else?

That includes removing the protective wax finish (that dull thing you see on
cars on transporters) applied at the factory.

Pre Delivery Inspection.

It's the bit where the YTS trainee goes round the car ticking boxes:

Wheels: Check
Paint: Check
Seats: Check

You get the picture?

washing up liquid

Thought you were not supposed to use washing up liquid on cars as it
contains a corrosive and so will damage the paint work.

Dave.
I believe it#s okay for occasional use specifically for removing waxes. It's
what the Zaino Bros recommend anyway.

Peter Hill (peter.usenet1 (AT) nospam (DOT) demon.co.uk) gurgled happily, sounding
much like they were saying :

Quote:
Here's the PDI page from Nissan's 200SX RS13 manual

Tighten rear body bolts and nuts (Models with wooden bed only)
Engine idling and stop knob operation (Diesel only)
It's either a generic Nissan list including commercials, or there were
diesel pickup versions of the 200SX we didn't get in the UK...
