I was caught doing just over the speed limit at 1:30am last night on a dual carriageway. But I'm positive I was not speeding! Anyway I was told this was an endorseable offence as I could have been a danger to wildlife (there was not one other sole on the road). I was given a fixed penalty fine of £60. |

This kind of bollocks is what gives speed enforcement a bad name. How do the police expect to get the public behind them with this kind of heavy-handed crap? |

Lordy waffled on in a quite bewildering manner to produce... At least he didn't get points. Why do you think they've taken his licence ![]() If he just accepts the fixed penalty, it'll be 3. If he contests it'll be 4 when they fuck him over in court. I got fucked over by arguing it once, allegedly 64 over the Runcorn Bridge, (40 zone), argued it and instead of 3 pts £40 I was shafted for 5 points and £150. If you argue and lose the points stayed on for the full 4 years as well, instead of 3. |

After three years they no longer count for the purpose of "totting up" for a ban. But they must remain on your license for four years. It doesn't matter how you got them, it's the same rule. |
