He bought it from one of the car supermarkets around 1 year ago and the servicing/paperworks did not mention any bodywork/repairs of this kind. The car has had one previous owner. Where does he stand with this? Will he have to fork out from his own pocket or can he go back to the Car Supermarket as it looks like it won't be covered under warranty? |

Hi guys 'n' gals, Friend of mine has a V plate, (Nov 99), VW Sharan. It's done 60K odd miles. Recently, he discovered some rust spots on one of the rear doors. Took it into the local VW dealer as he thought it would be covered under warranty. They've had a look and have just said that the car appears to have had some major work body work done to the rear - which may I suppose is why these rust spots have started appearing.
