If the policeman says stickers in your window, or a 'bad attitude' is
careless driving then its careless driving. In practice, who is going
to argue, when its your word against theirs in court?

It's not. There'll be this little thing called "evidence" required.

Yes, but you've already been convicted and fined by the policeman who is
judge and jury, no evidence required.

Can we just take all the arguments as read, and skip to the part where
you admit that you can't read, and that you don't understand the concept
of accepting an FPN _as a voluntary alternative to a prosecution_? It's
just that it gets very tedious going over it repeatedly.
Read the rest of my post, again, you might get the point eventually but I
doubt it.

That's very naive. IME policemen are not angels and many are just
there for the power trip, and if they can screw you over, they will.

Mmm. You sound like you've got an axe to grind. Been nicked a few
times, have you?

No, I've only had 3pts for speeding, but yes I do have an axe to grind.
There is no way I could have doing the speed that the mobile camera said
(my GPS was nowhere near it and my passenger agreed)

Alan! You've morphed!
Eh?

Clue: The mobile camera isn't even operated by "policemen".
Our local partnership wear the same uniforms, that's good enough for me.

Quote:
Yes, I could cite various TV documentaries showing how they move to gun
while measuring to provide an increased reading

You could, yes.

Then you could sit back and watch whilst you get laughed at,
Exactly my point.

Quote:
On other occasions when I have been stopped randomly I usually get the
impression that, to the police you're guilty until proven innocent.

That's because you didn't get "stopped randomly" - you got chosen to be
stopped for some reason which made you and your car stand out from the
rest of the traffic.
Of course, because policemen aren't allowed to stop people 'randomly' are
they? ;-)

Go back to your own naive little world of black hats and white hats, or
consider a career in the police if you haven't already.

Like I said - it gets tedious.

<sigh>

You. Don't. Ever. Have. To. Accept. An. FPN.
You. Can. Opt. For. A. Court. Case. If. You. Think. You. Are. Not. Guilty.

Thank you for removing any lingering doubt that you are truly stupid, and
don't actually want to understand.

I notice you snipped the pertinent sentence there. The bit that suggested
_why_ you'd be laughed at? BECAUSE YOU ARE CLUELESS.

Is there a ruling about the number of things you can have stuck on a
car's rear window?

No.

Thank you .A sensible answer at last but I'll bet the Traffic Cops
could think of something if they put their mind to it .
Why don't you ring them up and report them sort of thing small minded
morons like you would get pleasure at

I was sitting in a queue of traffic today and a smallish car in front
had a male and a females name below the window but on the window
itself they had about 6 stickers saying different things and also a
small teddy hanging there .

Please refrain from posting this here, it is against our charter.

Don't be so silly, either respect the charter or don't post here.

It's a car related question; what's the problem?

What section? There's a 'charter' here:

http://www.usenet.org.uk/uk.rec.cars.misc.html#uk.rec.cars.misc

in which section numbers are notable by their absence.
