In article <OY9Rd.1227$N%.169 (AT) newsfe5-win (DOT) ntli.net>, johnNOSPAMsmith (AT) NOSPAMhotmailNOSPAM (DOT) com says... I was with them for insurance, arranged via the AA, for years as I believed their ads about the AA finding the cheapest insurance. It was only 2 years ago when I queried a renewal quote of nearly £900 for my 1998 Fiat Brava, up from just under £600 the previous year despite no accidents, that I discovered they only choose the lowest quote from about 12 companies on a list. When I queried the AA boy on the phone about this he got really shitty IMPO and I put the phone down on him, rang around a few companies and all quoted me about £300 - £350. I figured when those ads that say they'll ring round everyone for you that they wouldn't compare every single one, just those that they have commission links with. I was just about to renew my car insurance with Direct Line, made mention of this to a colleague, just out of general conversation before I did it, and they recommended Eagle Star (now Zurich) as we'd get 30% off due to being civil servants, so I didn't make a call to Direct Line and got a quote online that evening. It's something like 260-270 instead of 350 now ![]() -- Dom Robinson Gamertag: DVDfever email: dom at dvdfever dot co dot uk /* http://DVDfever.co.uk (editor), http://LeilaniWeb.co.uk (editor), /* 1036 DVDs, 303 games, 126 CDs, 92 cinema films, 33 videos, concerts & news /* super size me, katherine jenkins, elvis singles, hellboy, pearl jam Fight back against "PRESS RED": http://dvdfever.co.uk/pressrel/pressred.shtml DVDfever.co.uk on BBC News 24's Click Online! - http://tinyurl.com/2mqj4 |

Lorries don't "thunder" past. True Then it WAS justified. |

They have a speed limiter that restricts them to 56MPH. If you're such a pathetic wimmp of a human being that you get frightened by lorries passing on the other side of the road then stay at home, lock the doors and shut the curtains. Oh, and the problem wasn't the lorry..it was the fucking Highways Agency. The Highways Agency is responsible for every stone on the road? Looking at the lack of clearing up after resurfacing..yes. |

Dom Robinson (google (AT) dvdfever (DOT) co.uk) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying : Ta for that. Did you ring them first before getting the windscreen sorted, or do it first and them claim it back later? It's just that I want to get it looked at first and if they can sort it there and then I'll let them get on with it to save time. Ring the glass company, and tell 'em who you're insured with - take the paperwork in - you won't get a bill. Just got back and there's a blob of the stuff on the screen where they did the |
