I've worked on both sides of armour and anti-armour. I don't want to
be anywhere near an armoured vehicle on a battlefield, inside or
outside it.

Yebbut aint the only thing to have destroyed a challenger another
challenger? Better than being up to your nuts in mud carrying around
a big bag, surely?
LOL in the trials I was involved in Challenger(2)s did a pretty good job of
just dying by themselves... but then again they had only just come out and
were still being sorted for reliability.

ISTR they are quite well thought of now.

Hhmmmmm sounds a bit slow.

One of my neighbours is about to get a tank driving day for his 60th
birthday, and doesn't know it yet :-))

Maybe slow (ish), but there's something about throwing 70 tonnes of armour
plate around off road that is just damn good fun.

Not in 35°C outside temperatures.

True.

Nor, as the Abbott driver we had once found out, when a coolant pipe comes
off and sprays *HOT* water all over the inside...
