I couldn't believe that that generation knows anything about 'Sanford and Son'. |

Never underestimate TVLand and Nick at Nite....and some markets (Chicago, for example) have acquired their own local equivalents--here, it's WWME or "ME TV"---all reruns, all the time (including vintage commercials in that case. Means the young whippersnappers know more than you think they do.....I've been parking my almost-two-year-old granddaughter in front of Burns & Allen of late in the interest of quality comedy education. ![]() --pig |

They said Junior left early, and Kerry Earnhardt took over testing the '8'. They interviewed Kerry, and he said they call him 'Lamont' at DEI 'cause he's always over there scrounging for parts! I had a good laugh on that, but I couldn't believe that that generation knows anything about 'Sanford and Son'. |

The reason he told the story was he though they gave him a 'second-hand engine' to test. Apparently he wasn't as fast as his brother. |
