Two items in the "news for Cindy" category:

1 - the flagship of the French naval squadron off Somalia was
attacked by pirates. Fortunately for the French, the pirates
had no arms other than Kalishnikov rifles, since the French
ship was only armed with machine guns (! This is a flagship?).
After a fierce struggle the French succeeded in driving off
the pirates, capturing half of them.

2 - (the real news) J.C. France, son of Jim France and cousin
of Brian France and Lesa Kennedy, was arrested by Daytona Beach
police for DUI and possession (of cocaine, apparently). Altho
France has not failed a NASCAR drug test, he has been suspended
indefinately from competition.
