Default RPG - Darlington - McCoy - 05-10-2007 , 10:42 PM

Gonna be out-of-town next week, so I'm gonna get my picks in now.
If I'm lucky I'll get to see the race Sat night. One time I'll
actually be glad of a night race :-)

The Win: Denny Hamlin. He's been as good as anyone in the CoT aside
from the Hendrick drivers, and he ran really well for a first-timer
at Darlington last year (and also in the Busch series).

1 - Mark Martin gets back to early season form with a T10. Back in
the RASN dark ages, Breland liked to claim Martin was "god" at
Darlington. That was totally unsupportable, but he does have a
decent handle on how to get around the place.

2 - Reutimann will qualify but will not be the top finishing
Toyota (not part of the RPG, but I'm guessing Blaney will be
top Toyota).

3 - Kasey Kahne will break out of his slump and get a T10. He
has run well at Darlington in the past, and this week luck will
favor him by not putting other folks wrecks in his way.

4 - all three RCR cars in the T15. Burton and Harvick both run
the track well, I'm guessing Bowyer picks up some tips and does
better than he did last year.

5 - Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth are the top two Fords. Biffle
runs Darlington very well. Kenseth doesn't, but he's the only
Ford guy who seems to have a handle on the CoT. The other Fords
suffer from both not being real good at Darlington (excepting
Rudd, who's passable) and not being real good with the CoT.

bonus - looking for a past champion provisional to get the car
in the show, Mike Waltrip hires David Pearson to run the #55.

John
