Interesting things happening in Californy final practice. David Guilland rear ended John Andretti (David's fault and he admitted it). But even worse is that Marcos Ambrose grenaded an engine and had to go to his back-up car. That is two Toy engines to the graveyard so far (Brian Simo blew up in qualifying - at exactly the same place).... So let the fun begin. |
| Winner: Marcos was going to be my choice, but I am not sure he can win from the back. So, I pick Ryan Newman. |
1. Marcos may not win from the back, but he will move up and take a top 15. |
2. Juan Montoya says he will be Chase racing this week, not necessarily going for the win. And I believe that like I believe in the tooth fairy. But, he will still finish in the top 10. |
3. Robbie Gordon forgets he is not in the Baja anymore and does a little too much agricultural racing. Robby finishes outside the top 25. |
4. Kasey Kahne is making a bunch of noise this week. He'll top 10.. |
5. I had hopes that Jamie Mac would show well this weekend, but the best I see for him is second 10. He will finish between 11 and 20, inclusive. |

1. Marcos may not win from the back, but he will move up and take a top 15. +1 Great run for Marcos even though it seemed he and Denny Hamlin were running into each other all day. Third is not a bad finish after starting at the back of the field. 2. Juan Montoya says he will be Chase racing this week, not necessarily going for the win. And I believe that like I believe in the tooth fairy. But, he will still finish in the top 10. +1 Another point! Good race for Juan. I don't believe for a minute he was just points racing, but he did good anyway. Also moved in to 12th in the points - three points ahead of Kasey. 3. Robbie Gordon forgets he is not in the Baja anymore and does a little too much agricultural racing. Robby finishes outside the top 25. +1 Robby kept his nose clean for most of the race, but a late race altercation put him back to 36th. 4. Kasey Kahne is making a bunch of noise this week. He'll top 10.. +1 Kasey sure made a lot of noise this weekend. Winning one for the King is never back. Congrats to Kasey. 5. I had hopes that Jamie Mac would show well this weekend, but the best I see for him is second 10. He will finish between 11 and 20, inclusive. +1 Jamie Mac slid into home for a 14th place finish. |

All 5 right! I don't know that that's been done before, in the traditional style of RPG. I think you should get an extra point or two for the sweep. |

Charlotte, 600 last year, I did a full eight point sweep. Which still astonishes me ![]() --pig |
