The argument for keeping the series different is that *Buschwhackers
won't gain such a big advantage over folks who drive only in the
Cup and that this disincentive will open more seats for Busch
drivers.
*Buschwhackers: Cup drivers who "drop down" in class to drive
in Busch races.
IF that is the thinking, the differences can be preserved by
mating the old nose and spoiler to the COT body. That would
help give each series its own character while reducing the
odds of having a COT-inspired lawsuit for negligence if the
lower class is left in the old chassis.
