Default 1 Hour and 13 Minutes? - 02-10-2006 , 07:20 PM

That is how much the Daytona 500 countdown clocks differ from
NASCAR.com and the SPEED channel.

So what's the deal?

How does it compare to the countdown clock on Daytona's website?

You only need to watch my countdown every day, guaranteed accurate to the day.
Ignore the woot'ers count, he's off in the mind and in his count.

NASCAR.com, to the minute. hmmmmm

Time zones and a blown system clock on a server/blade?

I'm not looking at it all too closely... 'cause it starts when it when
the green flag drops ~ that's the bottom line. But my guess for the
differences would be that it somehow related to when coverage starts on
the various networks, or when pre-race ceremonies start at the track,
etc.... IOW, they are counting down to when they want you to tune it ~
not necessarily when they fire up the engines.

You are correct, the woot'er is off in his mind by a day, and therefor in his
concept of reality by a day.
