Maybe should take an old cast iron bathtub and make a shrine for him at the
impact point like I've seen along highways. Or maybe someone could put a
cross with pictures and his name on it there until the highway department
mower comes by and chips it into mulch. I think someone should post an
annual picture in the obituaries with a "We miss you" poem.

He's dead, move on.

I hate it when people put those things up. I call 'em "pity crosses"

I agree. I think it's a very selfish and heartless thing to do. It's
like how Christianity uses the device of their savior's death, the cross.
We don't commemorate JFK with pictures of a rifle, we don't toast the
alcoholic uncle who died of liver disease, we don't remember loved ones
who died in a fire by lighting a match, and we don't pay homage to the
Challenger crew by placing o-rings on their graves, so why do we pay
tribute to those who died in traffic accidents by placing flowers on the
tree they hit?

Anyone ever die in your family? Have you ever been to the cemetary since
the death? Ever hear of Jews lighting Yartzeit candles every year? Man,
you are just a scumbag. I cannot name one single redeaming quality about
you. Thank God Studebakers do not have airbags. Humanity will only
increase in value the moment you are pronounced dead.

Yes. Twice so far. It's in Arlington Cemetary. I love DC. There is so
much to do, you cannot possibly do it all on one week. Next time I go, my
goal is to hit the Holocaust Museum and go back to Smithsonian's air museum.

Just did Philly in December - saw the bell and also the building that they
wrote the US Constitution in. I think it was called the Independance Hall?
It was right across the street from the bell, and has a big clocktower. If
you saw the movie National Treasure with Nicolas Cage - it was the building
where he pulled out a brick to find Ben Franklin's spectacles. Also saw
the "signers walk" and the Franklin Post Office. Very cool stuff.

Additionally, just took the family to Colonial Williamsburg in October.
That's really educational as well.

Philly and DC - if you love government stuff, those are the places to go.

I've been to DC, but never to Arlington Cemetery. We just sent my niece
down there for a few days a couple weeks ago (weekend before the State
of the Union). She didn't get to see anywhere near everything, but she
loved what she saw. She came back with pictures of the The Mall,
Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Capitol, White House, and SCOTUS
building, among others. She didn't go over to see the Pentagon or
Arlington though, but it was good learning experience for her. She wants
to go back.
Philly's a little closer to home. Been there a few times.
