Anyone who has watched an ATCC race knows Ambrose is a top driver among many other good Aussie drives and knows how to bang doors and trade paint. The ATCC was shown for a couple of years on Speed but they appeared to have dropped the series. Like I said. Ambrose gets the benefit of Gordon's experience in road racing. Huh? |

Nice cars if you can get past the "Australian" (looks like an egg) design cues. 400HP and RWD? Not a bad grocery getter. And it was relatively cheap compared to other 400HP cars out there ($32k). Good news is that Holden has a streetable 4-link, RWD setup that is coming here in the new Impala SS (2009), the new Camaro (2009) and the *new* Monte Carlo (slated for 2010 - which if it is a RWD version of my wife's current car, will be a nice 2D street machine). Or not screwed as he once was in a cup car by dopey pit strategy. This guy has won Le Mans, and been the dominant GM Corvette team in many ALMS and other international endurance races. As long as he's in a competitive car, he can win. But if he's just in an average car, from a team trying to stay or get in the top 35 in points, he's doomed. |
