This serves no purpose at all. If they need to get the track ready then keep the trucks on it until it's time for the cars to run, or run the laps with the cars under caution. Starting a race under caution and clicking off race laps under yellow is completely pointless. -- -Mike- mmarlowREM... (AT) alltel (DOT) net |

I can't remember what past history says has been done |

One is they think they might get it in tonight and clicking laps off is going to make Fox run over less than doing what is right by the race fans that paid at the track. Possibility number 2. Jeff is on pole. Starting the race under yellow means he gets the 5 bonus points for leading a lap and the yellow laps count for the bonus points toward leading the most laps. Those laps could be the difference in getting those points and not. Those laps should mean nothing until a green flag drops. Had a green fallen, they likely would have carried over till the next day and Jeffy got the points without earning them. Since the green didn't fly, only a green yellow Nascar may reset the counter and its all moot. Then again its Nascar and EIRI is joked at for a very good reason. |
