Another cup race moved to Monday, another rip-off of the fans by NASCRAP.
If they won't schedule the damn cup races for Saturday then they ought to
cancel if the race can't be run as scheduled on Sunday. Most of the fans
aren't rich like Helton and France Light and can't afford to take a day
off just to see a race. And of course there are no tickets refunds for a
rescheduling the race to an inconvenient day like Monday. If they want to
know why attendance is dropping every year this is one of the reasons.
Most of the fans have to work tomorrow and will have to shove their $100
tickets where the sun don't shine.

And if you can't figure out that an outdoor event is subject to the
possibility of rain, then your brain is not functioning. Cry about Monday
all you want, but the world does not turn around making everything
convenient for you. Monday is what it's been since the beginningand that
should come as no surprise to you. It's a bigger enterprise thanyour world
seems capable of understanding, and both tracks, NASCAR and teams don't have
the ability to simply switch dates to some Saturday that is convenient for
you, just because you elect to be pig-headed. Get over it.> --

That's the point I was trying to make Einstein. Move the Nationwide race
to Friday night and the cup race to Saturday. If there is a rain delay on
Saturday there is a chance to re-schedule the race to Sunday when fans can
actually attend. You must be one of those close minded morons who can't
contemplate change - things have to be the way they've always been because
that's the only thing you can understand.

No - Einstein - you're missing the point. Shit happens. Regardless of what
you do, rain will happen, snow will happen, earthquakes will happen, and
other anomalies will screw up a race. We're not talking about events that
are critical to the survival of mankind on planet earth here. Get over it -
a Sunday event gets rained out. Oh well.. Maybe this race stuff is just a
bit too important to your otherwise unimportant life...

Yeah, because NO one works on Saturday....right????
(Sorry to hijack here, TS02_05, but thankfully my KF is still working
on the OP...)

Man, the irony of the original post...the follow up...Good Lord.

Lessee, apparently Electrician thinks Nationwide and Sprint Cup are
the only 2 series under the NASCAR banner, just juggling those 2
series to Friday and Saturday will fix everything. Right. Sorry truck
series, Electrician has used up all the "good racing" days, guess
we'll have to shut you down, or move you to Thursdays or Wednesdays so
he can then bitch about how stupid a mid-week race is. (BTW, where was
the OP 'back in the day' when the Firecracker 400 was run on 4 July,
regardless of the day of the week on which it fell?)

The Einstein reference was particularly entertaining in light of the
oft immature ranting & highly uninformed nature of Electrician's
typical posts.

And then the whole "closed minded" thing...Wow. I'd make a pot and
kettle reference there but fear it would clear his head by units
measured in yards in lieu of feet. And while that wound was still
laying open, he poured in some isopropyl for good measure with "things
have to be the way they've always been because that's the only thing
you can understand." Umm, dood, you're thinly veiled advocating of
"change just for the sake of change" isn't any better. See, moving all
Cup races to Saturday gives no more of a guarantee of less rainouts
than moving them to Tuesdays would. There's no promise that any more
people would be able to stay through Sunday in the event of a Saturday
rainout either. Basically, you want to change the race schedule
because you want to change the race schedule - no amount of logic
supports your 'reasoning'. (That is, unless, of course, you know
something about preventing rain on Saturdays that us lay people do
not...)

I mean, I'd give you an A for effort...but really, after years of
ranting from the wrong side of arguments about the most asinine
things, you still really just don't get it. I genuinely hope you are
better at wiring than you are spatial reasoning (ability to solve
multi-step problems by visualizing multi-step solutions) and basic
logical thinking (aka common sense) - because you have NFC when it
comes to those arenas.
