I win. :-) I'm a tad mystified by this. Are you referring to post times? The time on a newsgroup post is often set by the server you post to (which seems to think you posted at 2:59am EST). Incidently, I don't beleive there's an atomic clock in DC. The National Institute of Standards moved to Gaithersburg years ago (and the "official" time is set by the NIST clock in Boulder, anyway). John Actually, the US Naval Observatory (DC) still maintains the master ticker for all DoD and GPS systems.
