I've said that for years. Keep NASCAR on the ovals

So they ran in the rain.
They run in the rain and you get a fucking joke.
NASCAR is trying to develope what a lot of people cry about.
Give them credit for that .
Even though it's stupid.

u iz rawng.

Sure wouldn't be the first time, deadman....

But it is my opinion.
NASCAR stock cars, as they are now,
don't need to be on road courses, or in the rain..
Yesterday's wet track episode, even without rain falling,
should be proof enough.
That was horrible.
40% of the race under yellow.... over 4 hours...
You can have all the wet road course racing you want...
Totally agree. It took an hour to run 10 laps.

usual Sunday Napcar!

Awesome??? A demolition derby in slow motion is awesome to you? Now
you can see why the cup series doesn't run in the rain.

yeah my bad. In my haste I typed that during the first green flag lap when
the crowd was cheering, etc. little did I know those yokels couldn't make a
successful right OR LEFT hand turn in the rain. I agree, what a complete
joke.....

I believe most of the problems occurred because it wasn't raining. It
was just a sprinkle. Parts of the track were wet, parts were dry. Last
year when it was pouring down rain most of the crashes were because the
drivers couldn't see where they were going and not from spinning out.

I wouldn't have a problem with that at all.
Because you would know what you got.
The cars would be division specific.
As would the drivers.
They would be nearly all foreign.
Sort of like when the IRL first started out,
it was ALL oval, and spefically for the Saturday night
open wheel stars of the states to have a high dollar premier oval division.
Now, there are more rc races, and practically no more oval drivers.

nascar wont do it cause all the top drivers would jump to it.
it would be nice to see a rc series using new mustangs, cameros and cudas.

- Why can't they let the teams put on rain tires and take them off as
they desire depending on the road conditions? No need to stop the
race for that.

- Why isn't a local yellow viable?

- Do they really need to burn two full yellow laps for cautions that
can be cleared up quickly, like that simple piece of debris near the
end of the race?

In 2009, the SCCA will revive the series based on the GT-1 class and five
races have been announced,[5] with former champion Greg Pickett sponsoring
the series with the Muscle Milk brand, using the SCCA's GT-1 category
rules.
