Well if you ever priced a beer at a race you would see why people
brought their own in.
Which is the best deterrent to drunkeness at the races. Why NASCAR still
allows coolers to be brought in when almost every local track in the
country bans them is beyond me.

Lets ban smoking while we're at it too. No reason I need to smell your
stinking cigarettes at the race track.

Next thing you'll tell me is I can't burp in public. Screw all of those who
are intolerant for an institution, that's gotten along fine without them
since WELL before they jumped on this bandwagon, which was sometime after
February of '01.

Hell, lets eliminate pompous/pious ignoramuses from these events. These
idiots, which include 'longshot24' and his wondering if 'Dega has matured
have me rolling my eyes and scratching my heads. What is there problem?

I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints...

Should it change is another question. Yet if you treat something
like
throwing something on the track after the race like that, and do
nothing with the infield, in my opinion you can't have it both ways.

what happens in the RV park and the infield doesn't effect what
happens
on
the track.
asshole airhead sans tossing stuff on the track does.

and assholes will find something to toss no matter what they ban.

Nonetheless, banning outside beer is necessary to prevent a future
reoccurrence of such conduct.

It's a bit silly to allow people to drink beer at a public event,
anyway. All alcohol should be banned.

They tried that once, called the Prohibition, we are still feeling the
ciminal effects of that stupid idea

Prohibition works just fine in certain places, like your job, airplane
cockpits, Little League games, etc.

Restricting alcohol in these cases is prudent and obvious, add schools,
hospitals, courhouses, etc, but a prohibition is stupid.

The stands would be empty.

$8.50 a beer at Comerica Park for Detroit Tiger's games. Price does not
stop the drunks.

Imagine the Cub fan sitting out there in center field at Wrigley at 3:30
on a Wednesday afternoon. Think they care about the price of a beer?
