Anyone caught with illegal gloves would obviously have them for the sole purpose of cheating; and could be given a month long suspension and loss of 500 points. Nobody would dare risk that. Well, other than Mark Martin; who is always stoopid enuf to get caught during possibly championship years. |

So Mark installed the manifold spacer and the too-few-coils spring that they got busted for? I though Roush paid other people to do that. |

It's not exactly something new. They'd toss rollbar padding, etc. out of the cars back in the old days to try to get a caution. |

Hell, Sterling got out of his car at a red flag and started doing body work in front of like 120K people. And then he was shocked when he got spanked. |

He wasn't shocked. He knew they might nail him for it, but he had nothing to lose. If he doesn't pull the fender, he has to go to the pits. If he DOES pull the fender, there is a small chance that he could get away with it and win the Daytona 500. What would you have done? |

You follow racing enough that you should know how to spell the man's name for chrissakes. |
