Default The Busch Caution Glove?? - 02-26-2006 , 02:19 PM

I'm out of the loop on TV watching this weekend (have grandkids with me).
Does anybody know WHO dropped the glove on the track to cause a caution
during the Busch race?

Thanks, Grandma P.

They mentioned on the broadcast a little while ago, that Nascar was
unable to determine who's it was. If I was an official I would've sent
it out for DNA test, and suspend who ever it was.

Couldn't they just have thrown a red flag and said to each driver: "show us
your gloves". They guy that has none is guilty and gets black flagged.

Maybe, it was any extra glove? That didn't match what they were wearing?

Probably an official. I wasn't watching (no cable/satellite) but I
suspect a "TV Time-out", designed to bunch up the cars again.

The same thing as "debris on the race track."

Nope. Gloves aren't required, so all you'd have to do is stick the other one
under your ass and tell the Nascar ofiicial "I don't wear gloves"

There are drivers without fireproof gloves?

Dale Jr. was driving without them for a portion of one spring race at
Lowe's a couple of years back. It was before he got in that firey
accident at Sears Point.

If tossing a glove to force a caution becomes an oft used trick; NA$Cball
could require all gloves to have the driver's name on them. Anyone caught
with illegal gloves would obviously have them for the sole purpose of
cheating; and could be given a month long suspension and loss of 500
points. Nobody would dare risk that. Well, other than Mark Martin; who
is always stoopid enuf to get caught during possibly championship years.
