Default Cal's problems & More - 02-27-2007 , 06:52 PM

Here's a pretty good article on Cal's problems, but the author
addresses much more, like the excerpt i chose.

An excerpt:
Listen to the fans. Read the blogs that regularly chronicle this sport.
You'll realize that it's not just about which track gets which race on which
traditional date, although Labor Day weekend in Fontana still sticks in the craw
of fans throughout the Old Confederacy.
The discontent is more about a sport widely perceived to have sold its soul in***
pursuit of the next buck, a sport that seems to change (or ignore) its own rules
as it becomes convenient, a sport that appears to be ashamed of its roots.
And a sport that, when confronted with unpleasant truths, tends to deny, deflect and spin.
