I can't wait for Stewart's reaction to the 1st time
he has to do a passthru for NA$CAr's subjective opinion
that TS slam-drafted someone in 'a no-slam-drafting-zone'.

Dale just has to be turning over in his grave
over this latest pussified-racin' rule!
Pretty sure TS should not be The One
to take Dale's spokesman place.

But some Racin' Writers think he stepped up...

I was thinking the first one nailed will be Stewart, but then maybe it
will be Kyle Busch

Stewart is your typical "Do as I say, not as I do" kind of guy.
"Someone's gonna get killed" he says.....By who Tony?
Did you watch Waltrip's bumper cam as Stewart was slamming him repeatedly
down the back stretch at the shoot-out?? Everything he pisses and moans
about in regards to what the other drivers are doing, he turns out to be the
biggest abuser of them all.
Thanks pasta boy, now we get to watch the 190 mph parking lot this
weekend. I just cannot wait...

If there are truly any racing gods, my hope is that Stewart will be
doing pass-throughs early and often.

Speed kills.....if you can't handle it.

Sorry Speed, but you don't sound to me like anyone who knows much about bump
drafting. They been doing it for ten years, five at least. The problem is
that some think have come to think they can do it in the turns too. No! No!
No! That was never the drill. As long as it's on the backstretch it's OK.
It's only the turns or excessively hard bumping that NASCAR is going to
crack down on. When they raise the back wheels off the ground...... now
that's excessive.

You assume quite a bit about my knowledge of bump drafting.
I am well aware that in the current aero configuration the cars have,
bump drafting is a tool used to gain momentum, and has been for several
years. It used to be a nudge, now they are plain & simply slamming into the
backs of cars with no regards to where they are on the track. Another point
that you are missing is that if you don't hit a car square in the center of
the bumper, regardless of where you are on the track, the car goes sideways
and problems ensue..
And YES, Stewart blasted Mikey all the way, including the *end* of the
backstretch.

That was never the drill. As long as it's on the backstretch it's OK.

How exactly are they going to pull this off? What is the difference
between a legal & *excessive* bump draft?
Another grey area of the Nascar rulebook?
Disallow reinforcements in the front bumper & the problem is SOLVED. No
ticky-tacky calls involved.
Mangle the nose, your cars goes slower, and handles worse.
I sure am glad Pemberton got involved on the competition committee....

Whatever, Speed. Let's just watch the season progress. The 150s looked
pretty good to me as far as that area is concerned. We'll see.

The difference between the 150s & the 500 are comparable to the
differences of night & day.
The 500 has more cars, they are racing for large sums of money and
the prestige that only comes from being a D500 Champion. We will see...
