Just wanted to update everyone. We will not know the verdict of
todays hearing until possibly the end of the week.

They should put a mention of this on their home page. Still, glad to
here something; was wondering.

Carl's first flight from Charlotte to Atlanta (he had a connector) was
cancelled, so he had to pick up a later flight, forcing him to find a
later flight from Atlanta to Chicago. That one was then delayed a half
hour. So I ended up meeting with Commissioner Strang and John Darby at
the conference room at 1 pm, and basically just chit chatted with them
for about an hour by myself and briefed them in on the situation and
explained my whole relationship to Carl. Carl finally came in around 2
pm central and things proceeded. The hearing with the 4 of us only
lasted maybe 40 minutes. From my perspective, I don't think it was
very favorable for us, it just had that feel to it. Strang is going
out of the country on Wednesday for 2 weeks I think, so he told us
that he was going to be doing some analysis and would get back to Carl
by mid-week. So we'll see...

Marty Smith was just on Nascar Now and said that Carl got a packet in
the mail from Nascar stating that his suspension has been reduced to 8
races...what a joke. Everything else still stands.

It is a joke, a CRUEL joke. NASCAR knows the problem is money, not the
suspension. It's just more vindictiveness from NASCAR. Why should we
expect anything else from them. This is why I have no compassion for
NASCAR executives when lawsuits and issues like safety come up.
